What Remedae is, and is not.

Remedae is educational. It gathers health knowledge from thirteen traditions so a reader can learn what each one says about a condition, in plain language, with sources cited.

Not medical advice.

Nothing on Remedae is medical advice. Reading a remedy is not the same as being prescribed one. We do not know your history, your medications, your allergies, or the conditions your clinician has or has not ruled out. A page here cannot make that judgement for you.

When to see a clinician.

Every condition page carries a safety floor. It lists the moments when the right thing to do is stop reading and pick up the phone: chest pain, sudden weakness, bleeding that won’t stop, thoughts of self-harm, symptoms in a child under one. If a symptom is new, severe, or getting worse, seek in-person care.

Herbs, supplements, and interactions.

Traditional remedies are not neutral. Some interact with common prescriptions (blood thinners, antidepressants, blood-pressure medication). Some are unsafe in pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney or liver conditions. Before starting anything you read here, tell your pharmacist or doctor what you’re considering, especially if you already take other medicines.

Emergencies.

If you or someone else is in a medical emergency, call your local emergency number. Do not use Remedae for emergency guidance.
